Terms of use, privacy practices, and the status of Golem Cloud's services. Read this carefully — especially the Developer Preview Notice.

Developer Preview Notice. Golem Cloud (the managed service at console.golem.cloud) is in Developer Preview. It is provided AS-IS, with no warranties, no SLAs, and no data-retention guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or delete Preview data at any time without notice. Do not store anything you cannot afford to lose. Paid Golem Cloud, with commercial terms, is launching in the coming weeks. The Golem runtime itself (open source, BUSL-1.1) is not affected by this notice — only the managed Cloud service.

Developer Preview Notice

Golem Cloud — the managed service operated by Golem Cloud, Inc. and reached via console.golem.cloud — is currently offered as a Developer Preview. By accessing or using the Preview, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • The Preview is provided AS-IS and AS-AVAILABLE, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • There is no Service Level Agreement. We make no uptime, performance, or reliability commitments.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Preview at any time, with or without notice.
  • We routinely delete data stored in the Preview environment. Data may be wiped at any time, including without prior notice. Do not store anything you cannot afford to lose.
  • The Preview is intended for evaluation, experimentation, and prototyping — not production workloads.

A paid version of Golem Cloud, with commercial terms and support, is launching in the coming weeks. Until then, the terms above apply.

The open-source Golem runtime (see Software License below) is distinct from the managed Cloud service and is not affected by this Notice. You may self-host the runtime under the terms of its license.

The information on golem.cloud is provided for general informational purposes only. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk.

Privacy Policy

Golem Cloud, Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with GitHub, we receive and store your GitHub user ID, your name (or your GitHub username if you have not set a name), and your email address. We request access to your email addresses only, and we never receive your GitHub password.
  • Credentials. The API tokens you create and the session tokens issued when you sign in.
  • Usage and plan data. Metering records for your account — compute, memory, storage, invocations, and the number of applications, environments, and components — together with your plan and limits.
  • Your content. The code, components, agent state, files, secrets, and other data you deploy to or store in Golem Cloud.
  • Technical data. IP addresses and request metadata recorded in our service logs and telemetry.
  • Website analytics. When you visit golem.cloud, Google Ads and Contentsquare set cookies and collect information about your visit: pages viewed, how you interact with them (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement), referring pages, device and browser details, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Correspondence. Your email address and the contents of any message you send us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate Golem Cloud, including running your content on your behalf.
  • To enforce plan limits and quotas, and to bill for paid plans.
  • To secure the service, investigate abuse, and diagnose problems.
  • To send service-related communications (e.g., security notices, planned downtime, account changes).
  • To send release updates and announcements — only if you have explicitly opted in.
  • To understand how visitors use our website and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We process your content only to operate the service. We will not use your code, data, or prompts to train machine learning models, absent your express written consent.

Who we share it with

  • GitHub, to authenticate you when you sign in.
  • Google and Contentsquare, which receive the website analytics described above.
  • Infrastructure and service providers that host and operate Golem Cloud on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect your information.
  • Authorities, when required by law.

Cookies and tracking

The Golem Cloud console (console.golem.cloud) uses only essential first-party cookies for sign-in and session management. It uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Our website (golem.cloud) uses Google Ads and Contentsquare cookies for the website analytics described above. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings without affecting your use of Golem Cloud.

Data retention & deletion

We retain account information, credentials, and usage records while your account is active, and afterwards as long as needed for billing and legal obligations. Service logs and telemetry are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics. Google and Contentsquare retain website analytics under their own retention settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@golem.cloud. Preview workload data is routinely wiped — see the Developer Preview Notice.

Data Processing Addendum

If you require a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) for GDPR compliance, contact legal@golem.cloud.

GDPR and CCPA rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@golem.cloud. Our legal bases for processing are the performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Golem Cloud and our website.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers from the EEA and UK.

Terms of Service

By accessing golem.cloud, console.golem.cloud, or any related Golem Cloud service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service (or older if required by your jurisdiction). You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity under your account.

Service modifications & preview status

As stated in the Developer Preview Notice, we may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also modify or terminate the Preview itself with or without notice. Beta and preview features carry no warranties, indemnities, support obligations, performance commitments, or data-retention rights.

Intellectual property

Content you create using the Preview belongs to you. By using the service, you grant Golem Cloud a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely for operating the service. We will not use your code, data, or prompts to train machine learning models, absent your express written consent.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to use them without obligation.

Term & termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or if we discontinue the Preview. On termination, your account and Preview data may be deleted.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOLEM CLOUD, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THE DEVELOPER PREVIEW IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE; NO PAYMENT GIVES RISE TO A HIGHER CAP.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Golem Cloud (the service or the Preview) to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Send spam, phishing, fraudulent communications, or other unsolicited bulk content.
  • Host, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Engage in cryptocurrency mining or comparable resource-abuse workloads.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or any underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or trade secrets from the managed service, except as expressly permitted by law.
  • Build a competing service using the Preview.
  • Process Sensitive Personal Information that would require regulatory compliance we do not offer (e.g., HIPAA-regulated PHI, payment-card data subject to PCI-DSS, ITAR-controlled content).
  • Use the service for content that exploits or endangers minors.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

Security

We take security seriously, but you should also understand the limits of a Developer Preview.

  • Hosting: managed Cloud infrastructure operated by Golem Cloud, Inc.
  • Encryption: traffic between your client and the service is encrypted in transit (TLS). Stored Preview data is encrypted at rest where practicable.
  • Access control: only authorized Golem Cloud personnel may access production systems; access is logged.
  • Training data: we do not use your code, prompts, agent state, or other inputs to train machine learning models.
  • No formal certifications: the Preview does not carry SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or comparable certifications. Formal compliance and a trust center will follow the paid launch.
  • Reporting vulnerabilities: please disclose security issues responsibly to security@golem.cloud. Do not publicly disclose before we have had a reasonable chance to remediate.

Software License

The Golem runtime — the open-source software hosted at github.com/golemcloud/golem — is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (BUSL-1.1). See the LICENSE file in the repository for the full terms, including any "Change License" and "Change Date" parameters.

Official SDKs and supporting libraries published by Golem Cloud are individually licensed in each repository; consult the corresponding LICENSE file.

Website content (text, images, layout) on golem.cloud is © 2026 Golem Cloud, Inc. All rights reserved, except where a more permissive license is explicitly granted.

Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content on our service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to dmca@golem.cloud with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the material claimed to infringe, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized, (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate, and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

Changes & Contact

We may update these legal terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the service or by email to registered users. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
